PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is the second generation platelet concentrate. It consists of white blood cells, platelets, fibrin and growth factors, which, not only help stimulate wound healing, hair growth but also promotes collagen and elastin production, leading to skin tightening.

PRF is performed at Destiny by our Injecting Nurse. A small amount of your blood is collected then placed in a centrifuge where the red blood cells are separated from the plasma.

Compared to the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) system, the blood tubes used to collect PRF have no additives, which preserves the sample‘s fibrin, and this is important, for it is within this fibrin matrix that the various growth factors and cells are trapped. Preserving the fibrin ensures a slower, steadier release of these factors, thereby leading to more significant collagen and elastin production.
